Welcome...

Please join us for an alternative lifestyle experience on our journey to find inner peace, health and happiness.

We are living in a self-sufficient manner the way our native ancestors did and the way many Europeans still live today. Come to our simple desert retreat where you can experience a life free from pollution, noise, radiation, poverty, strife and struggle.

We believe that all people are equal and will be treated equally. Everyone has shelter and no one goes hungry regardless of their ability. Everyone can make a contribution in some way no matter how small it may seem.

We do not want to contribute to the destruction of the planet by using modern technology. We do not waste our natural resources. We use only what we need and recycle or compost what we can. We do not use any thing that has been manufactured like paper products, plastics or processed foods. Our computer is off-site and used only to inform people of our village. We make few a exceptions for weapons used for hunting and fishing and utensils used for eating and cooking.

Here are a few photos of modern day tipis

We live simply in tipis as the Native Americans did with a few more creature comforts but still living simply.

You will be provided with a tipi that you may share with others. We strive to foster the family way of life where everyone participates and everyone is rewarded.

We will supply plenty of water and fresh food consisting of dried meat, fruit and vegetables. You will also have the opportunity to cook fresh meat over an open fire if you wish.

We have electricity from solar power and water from a well as mother nature has provided for us. She has also provided food in the plants and animals that cover the earth. We appreciate her generosity and take only what we need to survive.

We heat our tipis with open fire at night if necessary. Our tipis are 20-24 feet in diameter and approximately 450 square feet. We usually sleep 4-6 people in one tipi with adequate privacy for sleeping or changing.

Everyone is expected to help prepare meals and clean up to the best of their ability.

We welcome and appreciate you and want to bring you the best possible experience so that when you return to your life you will be able to carry with you the peace that you have found.

We believe the keys to health, happiness and long life are:

•Emphasis on strong family values
•Strong community values
•Exclusively plant based diets (little to no animal products)
•Whole food lifestyles focused on fruits and veggies
•Antioxidants and anti-aging herbs are plentiful
•Daily benefits of physical exercise
•Everyone knows how to deal with stress
•All the elders and centenarians still work
•Daily consumption of small amounts of alcohol
•A sense of purpose in life (Ikigai is the Japanese word for this)
•Spirituality is part of life in all of the blue zones
•A complete absence of smoking and obesity
•Everyone knows the benefits of a positive attitude

When you arrive at the airport we will pick you up and drive you to our village. We will give you a sleeping area and explain the details of our living and community processes. You will be free to spend your time as you please or join the others in group activities. When you are ready to leave us we will drive you to the airport or you can arrange your own transportation. There are no strings attached.

When we confirm your reservation feel free to book your tickets. You will only need to bring a few clothes and personal items. We encourage you to bring as little as possible. We will not be able to accomodate electronic devices and there is no cell phone service.

Please consider making a donation. Many of our members have sold everything they own to free themselves of worldly possessions. We do have some operating expenses that cannot be helped but we strive to be as self-sufficient as possible. Our tipis cost about $2000 each. Our solar panel system cost $10,000 and we also collect water into a cistern which costs us about $2000.

You can make your donation here with Paypal. You may use a credit or debit card and you need not have a Paypal account.
